No, it's not the bloodthirsty cyborg police Robocop: He's friendly, smiley, and super awkward. And with a wireless remote control and a police baton, he's totally going to catch all the baddies.

Robotcop made his debut on the Hong Kong Police Facebook page, announcing special Halloween traffic arrangements in the HKP's Four O'Clock News video. He's the second character the HKP has introduced onto their page, and they're hoping to add more. Cute!

First time you've heard of him? Robotcop's actually been around for more than 20 years: The current model was a joint project between the Crime Prevention Bureau and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2004, and its previous model joined the Police Force in 1995. He's been touring schools and carnivals to promote safety measures and crime prevention since.

In other words, he's fighting crime in the most passive way possible. So fear not, there won't be any blood running the streets—it's not like we've got Detroit-levels of crime or anything.

But will he reveal corruption within the police force? Who knows...
