Bling up those digits with nail art.

Nail 88
If a no-frills mani/pedi is what you’re looking for, you can’t go wrong with Nail88. While its interiors may be far from glamorous, the manicurists at Nail88 get the job done quickly and affordably: Regular polish manicures are $48 and pedicures go for $98, and you’ll be in and out within 30 minutes. A soak off gel manicure is only $148, and any nail art is only $10 a pop for each finger. Various branches, including Shop G24-25, Welland Building, 368 Queen’s Rd. Central, Sheung Wan, 2851-6711

Blossom Nail will get you fixed up with feminine designs

Blossom Nail
This quiet nail salon in Jordan stocks a huge variety of nail art stickers, trendy gold temporary tattoos, and top of the line gel and regular polishes. It’s also known for its foot spa offerings: their latest promotion features a customizable foot spa using floral and fruit ingredients, starting from a bubble foot soak, and a scrub, foot mask and lotion all in a wide range of flavors including lavender, tropical lemon and eucalyptus. Soft gel manis start from $280 for first-timers. Flat B, 2/F, Keybond Commercial Centre, 38 Ferry St., Jordan, 2959-3805, blossomnailhk.com

Canary Nail
Conveniently located just minutes away from the Central MTR station, Canary overwhelms you with sweetness the moment you step in. From the cheerful receptionists to the bright purple sofas, everything screams kawaii in this dainty nail and lash salon. You’ll be greeted with a cup of jasmine tea as you ease into a plush armchair for your session. A variety of Japanese-style nail art samples are available for any style you can think of, from clean cut ombres to glam rhinestones. The design we chose featured slender line art along with dainty white flowers, so we were really impressed when the nail artist perfectly outlined the patterns with a fine detail paint brush and a smile on her face. Soak-off gel ($450) lasts for around three weeks. First-timers at Canary can get a discount at $298 for soak-off gel nails, and a package deal of $1,900 for five sessions, which saves you $350. For the boyfriends waiting for their ladies to finish up their 90-minute manis: why not indulge in some pampering too? Regular manicures for men ($240) include nail shaping, cuticle trimming and moisturizing. 11/F, Wellington Place (M88), 2-8 Wellington St., Central, 2537-0338, canary.com.hk

Eighty Eight Nail
Not to be confused with Nail88, Eighty Eight Nail is the complete opposite: this is where you go to achieve baller, flawless, celebrity-level manis after the latest high end styles, from Valentino Rockstud-inspired nails to Korean-style glass nails. Seated in one of their high back black and white pod chair, you’ll be treated like royalty. You can rest assured your nails will be Insta-worthy after the talented nail artists are done with you. Soft gel manicures start from $780. 1/F & 2/F, 53 Wellington St, Central, 2350-9618.

iNail Workshop
If you want a more relaxing and bright environment to get your nails done, iNail Workshop in Tsim Sha Tsui is one to look for. Specializing in elaborate nail art techniques such as design stamps, stickers and stencils, you’ll be spoiled for choice for decorating your digits in the latest styles. Stocking mainly Japanese and Korean gel polish brands, soft gel manicures start from $420, with designs incurring extra costs depending on your selections. Unit 1227, Star House, 3 Salisbury Rd., Tsim Sha Tsui, 3481-1100, 6131-1100 (Whatsapp)

Nail Ten
Popular with the Sheung Wan office crowd, Nail Ten offers comprehensive mani/pedi services and a roster of talented nail artists who can execute the latest designs, like classy marble nails, cute character designs,  and colorful Korean-style glass nails. A regular manicure goes for just $70 while a soak off gel service has just recently been reduced to $150. Unit B2, 15/F, Hillier Commercial Building, 89-91 Wing Lok St., Sheung Wan, 3547-0299, nailten.com.hk

The Nail Library
A stalwart in the mani scene in Hong Kong, The Nail Library grew from indie high-end salon in Sheung Wan to being known for its exclusive collaboration with The Upper House. It now calls Wo On Lane in Central its home with a flagship opened earlier this year. Expect top notch service from the salon’s roster of talented nail artists, and as the name suggests, the largest collection of premium and eco-friendly “five-free” polishes (safe for pregnant ladies and kids) for you to choose from in Hong Kong—touting brands such as Christian Louboutin, Tom Ford or French brand Kure Bazaar. 1/F, 10-12 Wo On Lane, Central, 2618-8623

Luxe Nail & Beauty
Looking for a quick and fast nail service complete with elaborate designs? Look no further than Luxe. Located on the second floor of a Tsim Sha Tsui tong lau, the interior is decorated in a cute, princessy style, perfect for any girly girl. It may get cluttered as it gets busier throughout the evening, with technicians painting away at six stations. But you’ll hardly notice, as you sit back with eyes glued to the TV playing Hollywood blockbusters or Asian chick dramas as your expert manicurist buffs away. Luxe is great at staying on trend, currently offering jelly pastel colors for summer, Korean-style geometric designs, as well as pressed flower manicures which are all over the runways this season—we loved our combination of pressed floral nails and marble manicures on our last visit, though ladies who dislike thick gel manis may want to stay away from this style as it requires a thicker layer of top coat to keep the real dried flowers in place. Soft gels for first-timers start at $328, and get cheaper if you join a membership package. 2/F, Long Wah Building, 21A Lock Rd., Tsim Sha Tsui, 2311-8188, luxebeauty.com.hk
