Hanging garden Hate gardening and redecorating? We’re with you. That’s why a new wall cladding system is such a godsend. Mosstile, by Italian company Benetti Stone, is pretty much what it says it is: a mossy tile. You install it and forget about it. The result is the world’s first maintenance-free vertical garden.
The tile has an eco-friendly base that is covered in lichen and doesn’t need fertilising, irrigating or pruning. It can even be placed in rooms without natural light. Mosstile comes in 12 colours, ranging from wasabi to red pepper. The only catch is Mosstile requires 50 per cent or greater humidity.

How suite Designing haute couture is one thing, creating a hotel suite is quite another. But, judging by the results at Hotel Icon in Tsim Sha Tsui, Vivienne Tam is more than up to the task, having found inspiration in her own New York apartment.
The suite is the first foray into hotel design for the graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Design. The 860 sq ft haven, on the 27th floor, incorporates modern design, Chinese accents and fung shui principles. The result is seemingly effortless elegance and chic simplicity.
