Hardy rocks John Hardy's Asian-inspired Cinta collection ticks all the right boxes in the world of modern jewellery. Its four 18-carat yellow-gold two-finger rings for the Year of the Snake are charmingly delicate. We particularly like the purple ring with amethyst, sapphire and black diamond (above right; HK$55,800) and the red ring with spinel, sapphires and black diamond (above left; HK$61,800). For a private viewing, call John Hardy at Lee Gardens Two, Causeway Bay, tel: 2523 9828. Shades of the past When it comes to eyewear, it'd be wise to trust a man who never removes his sunglasses. Karl Lagerfeld's latest collection isn't going to break new ground but its classic designs and subdued colours would make for great summer accessories. We're leaning towards the gritty, 1970s-inspired frames: the oversized masculine aviators in a smoky brown-black (above left; HK$1,795) and the candy cane-coloured women's wayfarers (above right; HK$1,035). Karl Lagerfeld is available at Hong Kong Optic, Miramar Shopping Centre, 132 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2621 3038. Arm candy Salvatore Ferragamo has just launched its bag of the season: the Ginny minibag (above right; HK$6,950 and up), a sleek piece that comes in a variety of candy colour tones and types of leather. We'd recommend mixing and matching the bag with one of the label's Vara wallets (above left; HK$3,750 and up), also available in an assortment of leathers and colour schemes. Salvatore Ferragamo is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2845 2718. Ricci decorated Nina Ricci's spring-summer line has undertones of the dark side of pop art, with pieces that look like they could have come from a Helmut Newton photograph. We love the bold, daring creations such as the sexy see-through plastic trench coat (above right; HK$18,995) and the retro-futuristic light metallic jacket (HK$24,995) and matching skirt (above left; HK$13,995). Nina Ricci is available at The Swank, The Landmark, tel: 2868 6990.
