1.  Sheer indulgence "Carefree and ultra-glamorous" is how the Emilio Pucci girl is billed this season. For autumn, creative director Peter Dundas has created looks that are alluring and modern, textural yet light, such as the white dress (left; HK$59,440) with sheer sections in the classic Pucci print. Then there is the intricate detailing of the exquisite gold-lace mini dress (right; HK$111,840), with sheer black fabric on the décolletage. Emilio Pucci is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 4698.

2.  Hot pinks Phillip Lim's latest New York Fashion Week show reinforced the idea that this is a designer who likes a dose of masculine with his feminine. And the label's cross-body bags are a case in point, with black leather made super-fun with the addition of bright pink pony leather (right; HK$11,190) and fuchsia fur on the smaller version (left; HK$8,090). 3.1 Phillip Lim is in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2113 0311.

3.  All wired up Few people are aware that British designer Rupert Sanderson was, in fact, born in Penang, Malaysia, the son of a British Army officer. The straight-shooting designer is known for his comfortable, elegant, no-nonsense court shoes but he does get rather playful with some tongue-in-cheek styles. This season it's the "crown of glory" theme that catches the eye. The pump (right; HK$5,980) features leather cut-outs that create a barbed-wire silhouette, while the Pucelle sandal (left; HK$8,680), with a wire-shaped leather bow, is elegant yet edgy. Rupert Sanderson is at 8 On Lan Street, Central, tel: 2530 3391.
