Behind the label: Tangram for G.O.D.

The idea of creating their own label had appealed to Paola Sinisterra and her husband, Ignacio Garcia, for a while, but it was only when they moved to Hong Kong that they found a manufacturer they felt comfortable with. Tangram made its debut in 2011 and since then the couple have built a dedicated following for the originality and unique quality of their designs. For their latest collection, head designer Sinisterra has teamed up with Douglas Young Chi-chiu of G.O.D. to produce items that fuse the lifestyle brand's Hong-Kong vintage-inspired style with Tangram's no-nonsense approach to fashion.

the Tangram for G.O.D. collection is a blend of casual designs and intricate details that give the clothes an Asian twist. It's a tidy combination of G.O.D.'s tongue-in-cheek approach and Tangram's whimsical styles.

the fuchsia bell-shaped dress (above right; HK$1,280) is feminine and playful and the cheongsam fastening detail on the neck is a lovely touch. The black and white checkered Kimono jacket (above centre; HK$1,490), with its large sleeves and loose-fitting design, can be thrown over an outfit to give it a classic feel with a contemporary touch. We also love the blue window-back dress (above left; HK$880) with cutout detail on the back.
