1. Spindle class Inject some colour into your winter wardrobe with Bulgari’s latest high-jewellery collection, Spindle. The brand is known for its bold use of colour and this collection is no exception, although the look is softer and more feminine this time around thanks to a palette of periwinkle and purple. Stones such as chalcedonies, amethysts and citrine quartzes are cut into cabochons for a more elegant look. Must-have pieces include the necklace in yellow gold with blue chalcedonies, amethysts and pavé diamonds (left; HK$364,000) and the matching earrings (right; HK$177,000), which bring to mind Byzantine ornaments. Bulgari is in Chater House, Central, tel: 2523 8057. 2. Heel thyself Many years after we came upon Proenza Schouler, this American label remains one of our favourites for both readyto- wear and cool, kooky accessories. Its emphases on texture and shape are apparent on the sleek, rough-fabric purple strappy heel (left; HK$5,820) and on the graphic black-and-white bowtie shoe with beautiful curved heel (right; also HK$5,820). Proenza Schouler is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388. 3. Marc up With designer Marc Jacobs having left Louis Vuitton after 17 years, he can now give his undivided attention to his eponymous label, and we are dying to see what he has up his sleeve for us at the next ready-to-wear shows in New York. Meanwhile, we can placate ourselves with a resort collection defined by casual, effortless elegance and nautical influences. We love the glamour of the flattering sequinned striped dress (left; HK$32,900). Then there are the inky colour combo dresses that would make for a great casual weekend look; opt for either the fine pleated navy and maroon jersey version (centre; HK$16,900) or the shorter tweed version with matching collar (right; HK$11,900). Marc Jacobs is in the Landmark, Central, tel: 2523 3324.
