Pale into significance Full disclosure, The Goods isn't too keen on pastel colours. Not at all. They make for clothes that despite the cut, fabric or whatever can still give off the strong whiff of being insipid, spineless, floppily doppity, and just plain bland. We also felt the same about camel, light greys and sand colours, which always struck us as lacking in vigour and favoured by the milquetoast brigade. Lucky for us, we're fully aware that we're just as likely to be wrong as right and we have to say we've done a volte face on camel after looking through COS' latest autumn collection. We are quite taken by this dapper camel look of wool cotton blazer (HK$1,900), wool cotton ski pants (HK$990), white cotton sweatshirt (HK$690) and finally black ankle boots (HK$1,350). We also like this light grey look of hooded nylon parka (HK$2,500), silk linen thumbhole sleeve top (HK$490), jeans (HK$890), and slip on sneakers (HK$890). It might take us longer to love pastels though.

Choose your weapon We are now two feet firmly in the Uber era. Walking anywhere will soon become a chore or something you do for 'fun'. You watch, in a few short years your leg muscles will atrophy and we'll all be carried around on the backs of robot butlers that we will all unimaginatively call either Jeeves or Alfred. This sedentary future isn't all bad, it means you won't get your shoes dirty, which is just as well if you have a pair of Jimmy Choo's men's shoes on. We like the drama of the patent black leather dress shoes (HK$8,190) which look positively demure next to the gold polka dot versions (HK$7,490).

On a mission Ballistic nylon has served Tumi well over the years, indeed, if you want bags, luggage generally that is nigh on indestructible then no look further than Tumi's all black ballistic stuff. Alas, its a bit boring and MacGyver though isn't it? Unbeknownst to many, Tumi makes beautiful leather bags and accessories and they are in a word, excellent. We like the tan brown leather Mission Harrison briefcase (HK$4,790) and the gorgeous navy leather Mission Bryant backpack (HK$5,690).
