Run with it Sneakers and high fashion have never been the most intimate of bedfellows, so the concept of a 'high fashion sneaker' is a bit confounding. A number of designers have cottoned on to the idea recently, but it seems elite atelier Lanvin remains one of their biggest advocates… The good news is that the latest lot isn't as ostentatious as you'd think. The shoes are discreet, stylish, even a bit 80s- although the idea of an elite Parisian fashion house branching into, now throwback, gym kit is peculiar. If you are among the elite few whose sneakers must be of the highest end, we sympathise, but think you'll enjoy the python skin low trainers in dark green ($13,300). If, however you're more of a Fresh Prince kind of guy, we'd go for the bright green boot trainers in lambskin (HK$8,400). The sneakers are available at Lanvin, Shop 3, G/F, New Henry House, 10 Ice House Street, Central, Hong Kong. tel; 2205 0013 Wrap stars The lads and ladies at Pushbutton know how to have a laugh. Either that, or their designs are driven entirely by the top 40. Among the label's AW14 collection, there are some absolute gems- these include, a cow print jumper that we reckon Pharrell wore during a shoot with Cara Delevigne; a giant faux fur coat nicked by Macklemore from the Thrift Shop; and a double breasted, pin stripe suit that Pittbull would don in a heartbeat, we're sure. The collection's a hoot, and while the pieces are eye-catching, we're still suckers for the simple stuff, like the traditional trench (HK$7,290) and electric blue bomber jacket (HK$8,890). Pushbutton is available at Harvey Nichols, 15 Queen's Road Central, Central, Hong Kong, tel; 3695 3388 LSTN headphones Gone are the days when Beats headphones reigned supreme- new kid on the block LSTN has launched a line of stylish headphones made with environmentally friendly, reclaimed wood. But LSTN is more than just a gadget brand- they're a social initiative, committed to donating a portion of every purchase to hearing loss victims who can't afford recovery. Aside from helping some of the 300 million people affected by hearing loss, the headphones both look great and make your music sound awesome. We'd love to get our hands on a pair of LSTN Zebra Wood Troubadours w/ mic (HK$1,395). LSTN is available exclusively on Phatrice.com a new platform for philanthropic products and designers in Hong Kong. Grey's anomaly As the months move through summer to winter, many designers experience a creative shift that resembles the stages of grief, or loss. They lose interest in colour, and protest the drop in temperature with stronger textures, and more drastic gradients within the colours that they do entertain. This is textbook of Armani, whose Dégradé capsule is a mellow collection of greys, blacks and the occasional midnight blue, with shoulder bags made from crocodile skin and distressed, shearling jackets. It's a collection that is easy to pair, sophisticated and blends perfectly with the foggy skies. We love the crocodile skin rucksack (TBC) and the 'fade to grey' jumper (HK$3,800). The collection is available from October at Emporio Armani, Shop 101-102, 2F Chater House, 11 Chater Road, Central, Hong Kong, tel; 2535 7711
