Moscow-based stylist-turned-designer Vika Gazinskaya has made waves with her sculptural silhouettes and sophisticated yet quirky aesthetic.

"My childhood was happy and light-hearted, though there was no exposure to fashion at all. I'm still wondering how I got the idea, at the age of 16, that I should be a fashion designer. My family are not artists, I come from a very simple family."
"It was not a plan or a strategy. We all knew each other and were going out to the shows without saying a word in advance. It just happened organically. But, for sure, it helped a lot in general: [having the] bloggers' [attention] was a way for me to show that there is a Russian fashion designer and she has something to say to the fashion world."
"[It has] knowledge of, and respect for, the history of fashion and art. But I try to make it modern and bold, with a strong signature aesthetic."
"A woman with her own point of view - she knows what she wants, she steps out of the crowd, but at the same time, she cares about staying feminine and attractive."
