1. Queen of Spades Our stocking fillers this year might as well say “Sponsored by Kate Spade’s gift guide”, so much do we love the label’s quirky and irreverent accessories. Devil-horn earflap hats, raccoon coin purses, gemstone-shaped erasers and glitterencrusted watches can all be found in the random but delightful range. We’ll be purchasing a pair of the cheetah-print gloves (right; HK$1,303), and the Las Vegas oversized bow belt (bottom; HK$1,400) to complete our vampy winter look. The devil’s horn iPhone case (left; HK$271) is the only other thing we’ll need. Kate Spade is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 3188 1928. 2. Glare essentials Temperatures may be dropping but the winter sun is no less dazzling. The spring line from high-end eyewear maker Safilo includes specs by Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs, but it’s the Tommy Hilfiger range we’re really excited about. Grab a pair in Tommy Hilfiger’s signature blue and red (top right; HK$1,680) or try the gorgeous frames in tortoiseshell with ombré maroon on the arms (left; also HK$1,680). The Tommy Hilfiger glasses are available at Grand Optical, Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2730 8963. 3. Take a bow Since Massimiliano Giornetti assumed the role of Salvatore Ferragamo’s creative director in 2010, he has remained faithful to the Italian fashion house’s roots, retaining many signature flourishes, including the grosgrain bow. This season he has paired it with simple, lean designs and materials such as velour and glossy metal. For a look that’ll charm the socks off Oz’s Dorothy, slip on the Scotty Red loafer with a metallic bow (right; HK$5,300). And for eveningwear, there’s the suede bootie with bow and shiny toe cap (left; HK$9,300). Salvatore Ferragamo is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2845 2718.
