Keep it simple Opened recently on Hollywood Road, Niin has charged its way through the Hong Kong fashion scene with its ethical philosophies and reconstituted, natural materials. The home-grown jeweller has collaborated with lifestyle retailer Kapok to offer a minimalist bracelet collection made from sustainable materials with a simple, tie-on design. The bracelets are understated and elegant: a single bracelet provides no-fuss bling for an active day out or wear them stacked for an everyday staple. Kate Moss is a fan, and we are, too. The niin x kapok bracelets (above and right; HK$490 each) can be found at Kapok’s boutique at PMQ, Central, tel: 2858 8170. Pattern forming It's all change at Gucci as power couple creative director Frida Giannini and chief executive Patrizio DiMarco leave the Italian brand. For those hankering after some of Giannini's fun, flirty and feminine designs, there are still plenty of pretty paisleys and fresh tones in the label's latest cruise collection - an affair of charming pea coats, high-waisted bell bottoms and denim cowboy shirts, all with a dash of nostalgia. We love the dusty blue embroidered jumper (HK$13,500) with light yellow Flora Knight canvas Bermuda shorts (both above left; HK$6,800) and the feminine sage Flora Knight dress in georgette (above right; HK$26,700). Gucci is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 2524 4492. Quirk in progress Footwear designer Rupert Sanderson's latest resort collection features everything from hot pastels and metallics to soft nappa on shoes that will no doubt please his legions of fans, including actresses Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Watson. Standouts include the Zara Rock (above left; HK$6,380), a quirky blend of suede, PVC and woven fibres on a zigzag-patterned wedge, and the pointed "lips" flat (above right; HK$6,380) with lightning diamante. Rupert Sanderson is at 8 On Lan Street, Central, tel: 2530 3391.
