Tuscan attraction While Milan is home to Italy's fashion giants, Florence is the epicentre of Italian culture and craftsmanship, and favoured by many smaller, boutique brands, including leather accessories label Tuscan's. The bags range from girly pastels on ostrich skin to block navies and nudes on retro totes and baguettes. The beaded patent shoulder bag in oxblood (below right; HK$1,980) and the black patent purse (above right; HK$1,299) would be wonderful ways to revive a pallid winter wardrobe. Tuscan's is in Miramar Shopping Centre, 132 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2117 1292. Girl meets boy King of practical panache Michael Kors brings us pastel tie-dyes and 1970s-inspired outerwear in a resort collection inspired by the "romantic tomboy". Wisteria, oleander, pinks and neutrals are the season's favoured shades on silk slips and chiffon blouses, complemented by rugged sandals and oversized or contrasting belts. "Nothing's better than leaving a black-tie party in a gown and grabbing your husband's tuxedo jacket and throwing it on your shoulders …" says Kors, a champion of masculine women's styles. Standouts of the collection include the plunging, silk ruffled dress (HK$39,000) worn with a heavy Baroque belt (HK$4,600; both above right) and the white lace day dress (HK$23,400) with brown belt (HK$3,900; both above left). Michael Kors is in The Peninsula Arcade, The Peninsula hotel, 19 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2371 8563. Gilted pleasures Having built a following with her outlandish clutches, Fiona Kotur has stepped into the world of footwear, continuing her signature aesthetic of strong textures and bold materials. From velour loafers and flowery sandals to stilettos adorned with mirrors and tassels, there's an eccentric streak in the collection that will draw eyes south no matter how glam your outfit. We love the Gilda sandal in snakeskin (below; HK$5,200) and the vintage Lily loafer in silver (left; HK$5,600). Kotur is available at Sogo, 20 Nathan Road, tel: 3911 1710.
