Spring fragrances to revitalise the senses
Vanessa Yung

Spring's rising humidity calls for some vivacious scents to revitalise the senses.
1. Elie Saab's Le Parfum Resort Collection 2015 (HK$550/50ml) is inspired by the sun and the sea, and evokes a sense of getting away from it all. Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian has used fig and mandarin essential oil in the top note, and orange blossom and white jasmine for the core, with amber and cedar adding warmth. The bottle - in shades of blue - brings to mind the turquoise waters of a sunlit, tropical sea.
2. Jo Malone London has launched three limited-edition floralinspired colognes (HK$1,180/per 100ml bottle) this spring. Natural, easy to wear and available from next month, the range includes the rose-tinted sakura cherry blossom, peachy osmanthus blossom with a touch of petitgrain, and sweet plum blossom.
3. Daisy Marc Jacobs Sorbet (HK$665/ 50ml) and Daisy Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh Sorbet (HK$725/75ml) are the latest novelty fragrances from the American fashion brand. The nose behind them is Firmenich perfumer Richard Herpin, whose fruityfloral compositions are encapsulated in lilac and pink bottles topped with a fuchsia-adorned cap.
4. The azure-bottled Teazzurra (HK$560/75ml) is the latest addition to Guerlain's 16-year-old Aqua Allegoria collection. The eau de toilette features a floral-citrus blend of green tea, jasmine and Calabrian bergamot. With additional touches of lemon, grapefruit and yuzu at the top note, perfumer Thierry Wasser has concocted a light, refreshing scent reminiscent of an aromatic fruit garden.
