Style trends: Donna Karan's summer swan song; Jack Wills' nostalgic swimwear

Twin engines In our eyes, superstars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who were recently in Hong Kong, can do no wrong. And the latest jewellery collection for their Elizabeth and James label is yet another example of how they’ve transitioned from child stars to style stars. Since being appointed creative director of preppy British brand Jack Wills, Richard Nicoll has combined his streamlined aesthetic with the label's free-spirited attitude. His latest bikinis have a nostalgic, delicate vibe and playful prints, as seen on the Ballyroe (top right; HK$560), with its aqua stripes; the Thirwall (above right; HK$620), with its blue flower motif; and the Pheasant Paisley (above left; HK$600).
