What's the story? Prior to starting her eponymous brand, Joanna Laura Constantine worked in hospitality. After graduating from the Parsons School of Design, she had interned for various fashion houses including Nicole Miller, DKNY and Badgley Mischka. Constantine now spends her days in Lebanon, where her jewellery company is based.
Why we love it: bold statement designs are the norm, putting meticulous and intricate Lebanese craftsmanship into the spotlight. Pieces range from the feminine to the sexy to the wild, and suit a variety of ages and lifestyles.
What we'd pick: we're bedazzled by the gold Firestarter bracelet (above left; HK$4,790), with curved motifs reminiscent of the shoes that Hermes wears (the mythical Greek messenger, not the venerated French label, obviously). Also on our wish list are the crystal-studded gold earrings (above right; HK$1,990), with white, green, ash grey and black stones. Another favourite is this gold ring (below left; HK$2,990), which combines gold leaves, pearls and white crystals to dazzling effect.
Where can you get it? Joanna Laura Constantine is available at Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, Central.
