Paris saw a very exclusive, opulent Valentino party at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild after an absolutely killer show, so full of primal beauty it reduced some editors to tears. A DJ span 90s tunes and it was a veritable mashup of fashion’s who’s who on the dance floor; we were jostled by the Valentino design duo, Edgardo Osorio, of Aquazurra shoes, and Bruno Frisoni, of Roger Vivier.
Alber Elbaz welcomed VIP guests to the opening of his Lanvin exhibition, “Manifesto”, at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, in Paris, unveiling behind-the-scenes images and toiles of noteworthy Lanvin dresses in the making.

In New York, the fashion pack descended on a deserted spot under the Brooklyn Bridge to party the night away and celebrate “love”, at Givenchy’s afterparty. There was an epic Duran Duran appearance at the Michael Kors perfume launch. Katy Perry went large at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons Party. Alexander Wang celebrated 10 years of his namesake brand with a party full of pole dancers and Hooters waitresses serving buffalo wings, whereas Phillip Lim took everyone to Brooklyn for a farm-to-table meal beneath the stars.
