The Dictator | How to lose baby weight; It bag for autumn 2015: Ask The Dictator
Belly Ache, Mid-Levels
Really? Are you willing to resort to exercise then? The sad truth is that for lasting, visible results you need to work it off. But there are some products that can help the toning process. (It goes without saying, you must consult your doctor if you're breastfeeding, etc). Mama Mio's Get Waisted Sculpting Body Shaper (HK$590; Linea Negra, 1/F, Welland House, 62 Wellington Street, Central, tel: 2522 7966) promises to increase lipolysis, the natural process by which your body converts fat to energy, and be safe for nursing. It claims to be free from parabens, synthetic fragrance, phthalates and other nasties. Bliss' FatGirlSixPack (HK$375; Lab Concept) is a tummy-toning gel made with six actives meant to promote firming and toning, such as caffeine. Biotherm makes one called Celluli Laser Size Code (HK$380; Lab Concept), with the excellent subtitle: "advanced stomach-waist care, fat-prone areas whatever the origin, genetic - behavioural". Sorry, none of them is going to suddenly melt away all the fat you're carrying.

Who says "it bag" anymore? Seriously. I'd like to say individual style and self-expression have replaced the fashion "must-have" uniform, but that's not true. It's more likely that the term "it bag" is practically extinct because designers and retailers want to sell more products. That doesn't stop fashion editors from heralding new trends every season anyway, and for autumn, it was all about miniature bags. There has been much fanfare about small versions of iconic bags by famous houses. For example, the Fendi Peekaboo now comes in not only a Mini size (HK$16,500 and up) but also in an even smaller Micro (HK$12,400 and up). Each is available in various colours and leathers, including a Micro in soft shearling (HK$15,300), presumably to keep your hands, lap or mobile nice and toasty. Just kidding. Fur is obviously an essential look for Hong Kong winters. Another recognisable design that comes in doll size is Balenciaga's City bag, made famous years ago when the Olsen twins stepped out with them in the crooks of their skinny elbows. Now, there is the Mini City (HK$11,500 and up). Are you a fan of the Lady Dior bag? Well Dior's top-handle bags, Lady Dior and Diorissimo, have been refashioned in micro, with too many leathers, exotic skins and quilted finishes to list here (HK$24,000 and up). Fashion editors around the world, by the way, reported on the autumn-winter 2015 collections so long ago, they've already moved on to trends for spring-summer 2016. Just thought you should know.
