The Latino rapper (and actor, musician and fashion icon) known as Pitbull sticks his paws into several pop pies on Climate Change, the 10th album from the global pop superstar born Armando Christian Pérez.Returning to the AsiaWorld-Expo later next month,Pérez has made a valiant attempt to cover as many unit-shifting bases as possible over the 12 party tracks. Opening with the light tropical house of We Are Strong, the Miami emcee spouts nonsense (“Politicians want to politic and politrick / That’s why I call this s*** politricks”), while Canadian singer Kiesza complements his gruff tones with the chorus from Pat Benatar’s 1983 hit Love Is a Battlefield. Surrounding himself with as many guest stars as he can, Pérez gleefully plays the part of a dance-floor salesman. Leona Lewis, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Robin Thicke all make appearances with varying degrees of success, while Austin Mahone and R. Kelly turn Dedicated into nothing more than a clumsy, overproduced Justin Bieb-side.
