Ever since Nicolas Ghesquière took the helm at Louis Vuitton, he's been mashing together unconventional materials and techniques. Clear examples are the Palm Canyon desert boot (above left; HK$10,500) and the Sun Catcher Derby (above right; HK$16,600). Louis Vuitton is in The Landmark, Central.

Wakey wakey The alarm clock has rung several times now, with each ring bringing a swift whack to the snooze button. Eventually you wake up and freak out because you're late. Do not fear, Chloé has your back with its roll-out-of-bed instant transformation pieces. We love the tawny leopard print dress (far right; HK$24,840) and the hand-knitted cashmere jumper (HK$16,890) paired with the striped trousers in linen and cotton (HK$9,580; both right). Chloé is in Prince's Building, Central.

Old soul If you happen to be a vintage addict who is frustrated by Hong Kong's dearth of second-hand shops, you are not alone. But you might find solace in Gucci's latest bag range. Designed by Alessandro Michele, the accessories beautifully fuse the old and the new. On top of our shopping list is the shoulder bag called Tian ("heaven" in Chinese; below right, HK$12,800) and the Tian suitcase (below left; HK$21,000). Gucci is in The Landmark.
