At Xtreme Lashes, extensions (HK$1,380 for a two-hour session) of your preferred thickness, curvature, length and colour are applied on top of your natural lashes one by one. Choose from styles such as the Daisy, in which finer lashes are used to create a natural look, or the Rose, which creates long voluminous lashes to dramatic effect. The extensions last for about a month. Be warned: chemicals may cause irritation during the application process. Xtreme Lashes is at 3/F, V Plus, 68 Wellington Street, Central.
Burberry’s Cat Lashes mascara (HK$260)is so good you won’t need fake lashes. Its hourglass-shaped brush wraps mascara around each lash to give a clump-free finish and a cat-eye effect.
Dolce & Gabbana’s Passioneyes waterproof mascara (HK$300) doesn’t smear, smudge or run, even in the sweltering heat and humidity of Hong Kong. The volumising formula is fragrance free and easy to remove.
Helena Rubinstein’s Lash Queen Wonder Blacks (HK$330) is rich in pro-keratin and Ceramide R, which help strengthen and repair damaged lashes. The helical brush makes lashes appear longer and more voluminous.
