Feline fatale Cartier’s iconic panther emblem is one of the most desirable and recognisable signatures in high jewellery. It was first seen on the prowl at the maison in 1914 and the brand now has a vast collection of necklaces, earrings, cuffs and brooches based on the big cat. This regal and unusual sapphire-beaded platinum Panthère de Cartier necklace features diamonds totalling 7.15 carats, with the panther made up of sapphire spots, an onyx nose and emerald eyes. The price, as with much of high jewellery, is listed as “available on request”, which is likely to mean, “Probably out of your price range, darling.”
