From Beyoncé to Shu Qi, celebs are embracing Versace’s bold signature print
Celebrities can’t get enough of the baroque prints that first appeared at Gianni Versace’s spring/summer 1992 show

It didn’t take long for celebrities to embrace the glamour of the medusa iconography, gold accents and baroque designs printed on silk that harked back to the heyday of 1980s fashion.
Last week, DJ Khaled, his wife, Nicole Tuck, and their toddler son stole the show at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards in New York clad in matching Versace. Their nod to the house, however, was just one in a series of high-profile acknowledgements. This month, Beyoncé and her backup dancers took to the stage in Chicago for her On the Run II tour wearing printed bodysuits from the collection and last weekend, Khloé Kardashian channelled Bae and her posse in a similar body-conscious outfit paired with a bandeau top and black heels.
DJ Khaled and his son aren’t the only guys getting in on the act. Last month, American football player Odell Beckham Jnr showed up to the 2018 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles wearing a black-and-white printed silk shirt with coordinating shorts that may have looked to some like a fancy pyjama set but showed his daring and unapologetic fashion sense. Gianni would have approved.
