1990s-inspired logo-adorned outfits aren’t going anywhere, with Karl Lagerfeld’s Italian label taking the crown as the one to wear this season

Last season, celebrities from Beyoncé to the Kardashians fell hard for Versace’s fabulous baroque prints, which the house revived to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of founder Gianni Versace. This season, it’s the turn of Fendi’s logo, which has been revisited by the Italian label and is attracting A-list attention.

Designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1965, when he joined Fendi, the FF logo, which stands for “Fun Fur”, was revived earlier this year for a line of apparel and accessories emblazoned with the motif.

More recently the brand has reappropriated the Fendi/Fila logo created by Instagram artist @hey_reilly for a fun collection of sporty items and accessories that combine the original double F logo with the hybrid Fila one.

From the streets of Milan during fashion week to Hollywood red carpets, stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Joan Smalls and Gigi Hadid have embraced the F logo with gusto.
