The leading ladies of Crazy Rich Asians lit up the red carpet at the 76th Golden Globes on January 6, in Beverly Hills, California, in the United States.

Michelle Yeoh Choo Kheng, who plays matriarch Eleanor Young in the blockbuster comedy, piled on the bling, accessorising her green Shiatzy Chen outfit with a diamond necklace and earrings from De Beers, and a sparkly Roger Vivier clutch.

The pièce de résistance, however, was her matching emerald ring that, in the film, was a family heirloom Eleanor wore before giving it to her son, Nick (Henry Golding), to use in his proposal to Rachel (Constance Wu).

In a nice counterpoint to Yeoh’s bold look, Wu looked like the belle of the ball in a Vera Wang tulle, princess-style nude dress cinched at the waist with an orange velvet ribbon and paired with a simple diamond necklace and minimal make-up.

It looks like the two actresses are still playing their roles – Yeoh that of the tiger mom and Wu that of the lovely ingénue – on the red carpet, too.
