At a recent event in New York to celebrate a pop-up store for Fenty, her LVMH-backed fashion line, Rihanna turned heads in a body-con slip dress in bright fuchsia, which is part of the second drop of the brand.

The singer paired the revealing dress with bold jewellery and even matched her lipstick to the outfit and shoes, looking fierce and fabulous.

While Rihanna’s personal style is second to none – from the oversized sweats she favours when off duty to her memorable red-carpet appearances and her embrace of up-and-coming labels – the jury is still out on her ability to translate her impeccable fashion sense into clothes that women around the world would actually buy.

A serial entrepreneur, she has proved herself to be a savvy business woman (her inclusive beauty line, also in partnership with LVMH, has been a huge success) but making clothes is a whole different story. If her first collections are any indication, we shouldn’t expect too much, but we certainly have countless red-carpet and paparazzi shots to look forward to.
