“There is no bad whiskey. There are only some whiskeys that aren’t as good as others,” observed the author and screenwriter Raymond Chandler.
And Chandler knew a thing or two about whiskey (or whisky, if you prefer).
Now’s your chance to decide for yourself. Described as “the ultimate whisky festival”, Whisky Live comes to Hong Kong for the first time on October 8, and promises to bring with it “all the whiskies of the world together under one roof”.
The one-day event, organised in conjunction with Whisky Magazine – which launched a Hong Kong and Macau Chinese edition earlier this year – and to be held at the Asia Society Centre, in Admiralty, raises a glass to the “water of life” with tastings of 100 rare and premium examples of the spirit.
Enthusiasts will have an opportunity to meet producers, distillers and brand ambassadors, and learn about whiskies in master classes and activities led by experts. If that wasn’t enough, visitors are promised great food and entertainment, too. Bottoms up!
