The perfect host

The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is feeding our art craze this month - literally. The hotel, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is the official host of Art Basel in Hong Kong. The show will be held from May 23 to 26, and in addition to an art-inspired accommodation package and exhibition, the hotel is also introducing a range of chocolate and cocktails, not to mention an entire Art Menu at the Mandarin Grill + Bar. Michelin-star chef Uwe Opocensky created culinary interpretations of iconic art motifs, and these innovative dishes range from an edible ear - a la Van Gogh - to a miniature skull for dessert that would make Damien Hirst proud. The Art Menu items are available as a three-course lunch at HK$708 or a five-course dinner at HK$1,588. The menu includes a ticket to Art Basel.
