talian menswear label Ermenegildo Zegna splurged on the celebration of its 50th Wool Awards in Australia. More than 1,000 guests, including Australian actor Chris Hemsworth of fame, star Daniel Henney and Hong Kong singer-actor Leon Lai, flocked to Sydney's historic Royal Hall of Industries for the event.

The awards were won by Ed & Jill Hundy of Windradeen Farm. An impressive herd of fashionistas aside, the brand also booked more than 60 models for the fashion show of its latest autumn-winter collection, and its capsule line, Australian Celebration Collection. The grand after-party was spun by the finest Aussie DJs, Alex Dimitriades and Robyn Lawley, while indie-pop band Temper Trap provided entertainment.

What qualities do you look for when you shop for suits?
I look for suits that have a perfect fit, not too loose or too slim, to maintain a sophisticated vibe. I also look for different materials for different seasons.

Tell us about your top three closet staples.
A well-tailored suit is a must for every man; chinos for utmost comfort; and shirts, in various cuts and tones, for both formal and smart casual occasions.

Do you have a favourite look from Zegna’s autumn-winter collection?
Quite a few suits and some smart casual looks caught my attention, but I’m particularly impressed by the Australian Celebration Collection. I like the overall tone and the cut very much.

Have you thought about designing in collaboration with the brand?
Although I’m not a fashion expert, I would love any opportunity that involves creativity. If I could collaborate with the Zegna team, I believe there will be interesting chemistry.
