Cartier’s journey through history features over 600 high-jewellery pieces

Cartier’s Paris exhibition, “Style and History”, features more than 600 high-jewellery pieces. The exhibition is running through February 16 at the newly restored Salon d’Honneur of the Grand Palais. The items include mystery clocks and precious objects from the French maison’s archive. Among the exhibits is Queen Marie of Romania’s sapphire (pictured), measuring 478ct and on display for the first time. Curated by Laurent Salomé and Laure Dalon, the exhibition chronicles Cartier’s influences in the history of decorative arts by placing its precious pieces alongside design sketches, art pieces and furniture.
