Table takes off
STORYVivian Chen

Ever wonder about the afterlife of aircraft parts? One way to upcycle them is to build a stylish item for the home. London-based Fallen Furniture, which specialises in creating furniture from reclaimed aircraft parts, has launched a one-of-a-kind coffee table made using the wheel of a Boeing 777, a commercial jet that's built to seat up to 450 passengers. Its polished aluminium wheel gets a new lease on life in the form of a modern furniture piece. The entirely hand-polished table takes a craftsman over 150 hours to make. Fallen Furniture also fulfils bespoke requests.
