Loewe celebrates 168th anniversary

: Spanish luxury brand Loewe is celebrating its 168th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition entitled Fragments of a Story. The touring exhibition made its first stop in Hong Kong before moving to Beijing, Shanghai and back to the brand's origins in Madrid and Barcelona. Archive pieces which inspired the brand's contemporary collection were showcased at the exhibition in Landmark mall's atrium. Instead of conventional display cases, the bags were shown through an artistic mirror structure to echo the "fragments" theme.

Loewe's CEO, Lisa Montague, flew in for the kick-off cocktail event. Carrying the brand's luxury crocodile purse, Montague was joined by Loewe fans including Canto-pop singer-actress Kelly Chen and socialites Helen Ma and Victoria Tang.

What motivated you to initiate the touring exhibition?
We are always trying to find new ways of telling stories. We thought the [mirror] reflections were a nice play on the concept - a look at the past and finding new angles for the future.
