EVENT Louis Vuitton L’Aventure Pop-up Store Opening Cocktail

HAPPENINGS: Louis Vuitton's two-storey Pacific Place store was decked out for a pop-up retail space dedicated to a collection of monogrammed luggage, travel gear and more. To highlight the luxury French label's expertise in trunks and luggage, craftsmen demonstrated hand-stitching, pattern drawing and engraving during the VIP cocktail event.

To echo the travel theme, mixologist Colin Peter Field of Hotel Ritz Paris' Bar Hemingway was flown in for the occasion. Dubbed one of the world's most famous bartenders, Field designed special cocktails for the evening. The party crowd was out in force. We spotted Janet Ma in a lush ensemble of sequin shorts and jacket tête-à-tête with model friend Qiqi Yam, while socialite Victoria Tang channelled her artsy side at the pattern drawing counter.

OVERHEARD I was impressed by the lady who demonstrated the art of packing. I’ll have to hire her when I travel.

Kate Moss is a regular at your bar. Can you tell us about her favourite drink?
It’s called Kate 76. It’s lemon juice, a little bit of vodka and Champagne. It’s like the French 75 without the sugar.
