EVENT Bulgari Lvcea collection launch cocktail party

HAPPENINGS: Celebrating its 130th anniversary this year, the iconic Italian jeweller Bulgari is hosting events across the globe. The maison also unveiled its Lvcea range - including classic feminine timepieces for women who appreciate automatic movements - at the BaselWorld watch and jewellery show.
The launch cocktail saw an impressive turnout of celebrity fans, including Naomi Watts and Eric Bana. The brand's CEO, Jean-Christophe Babin, was spotted mingling with guests. Soul singer Nadia Mladjao, better known as Imany, stole the spotlight as she serenaded the crowd.

What is your objective now that you are leading Bulgari?
Our objective is to keep the Bulgari family influence alive even though the brand now belongs to the LVMH group. Its rich history and legacy work for the brand and we don’t want to change that.
Do you enjoy working in Rome?
I have the best of both worlds. I get the lakes and mountains in Switzerland because the watchmaking process is there. I still keep my place here in Basel and Lausanne. And now I also have a place in
Rome because the Bulgari office is there. I get to enjoy both countries.
What are your plans next for Bulgari?
Bulgari is already a big watch company, but we want to get into the top 10 [of] Swiss luxury watchmakers. We need to [expand] our mainstream watch market and produce more products.
