Lanvin celebrates 125 years with new bag

HAPPENINGS: It's a milestone year for Lanvin, and Alber Elbaz is paying tribute to the Parisian brand with a line of accessories in the ready-to-wear collection as part of the celebration of the maison's 125th year. We love nothing more than iconic bags, and the city's fashionistas and fans of the maison gathered to celebrate Lanvin's newest It bag - Lanvin Sugar.

Guests, including top models Kathy Chow and Rosemary Vandenbroucke, and socialites Veronica Lam and Claudine Ying were spotted chatting over hor d'oeuvres. Meanwhile, special anniversary party games and a "magazine cover photo shoot" kept the party-goers busy. By Joanne Lam

What do you think of the new Sugar bag?
It's very Lanvin. The brand has always been about flow and timelessness, and this is no exception. It can definitely be an everyday bag and a classic.

What do you look for in an everyday bag?
I usually carry big bags because I have a lot of A4 paper [for work], my make-up bag and a bottle of water.

Do you have any style tips for autumn?
My style is quite classic. I'm not too flashy and I believe less is more. So like Lanvin, I believe in subtle elegance.

How is your work with Bebegarten going?
We are about to embark on our second academic year so we are very pleased. It's a [continuous] process and we are really looking to further enhance the quality [of education for children].
