Paris, with its myriad patisserie options, has always been paradise for those with a sweet tooth, and now the French capital has a new kind of treat to offer. Famous pop art sculptor Laurence Jenkell has set up 15 of her oversized, vibrant Candy pieces throughout the InterContinental Paris le Grand, as part of her "Sweety Candies" exhibition.
The quirky artworks on display at the hotel - two of which reach up to 2.3m in height - are a swirling riot of colour, and they demonstrate Jenkell's mastery of manipulating and moulding Plexiglas. The contemporary artist's work is globally renowned, having been shown everywhere from the London Olympics to the top art fairs in the world. Visitors to Paris have until November 24 to admire these unique and spectacular pieces.
