EVENT Gucci Flora Knight Collection Celebration Cocktail, VIP Dinner and Party
WHERE Gucci flagship store at Landmark and California Tower

HAPPENINGS: All good things come in threes. In Gucci’s case, a trio of events were organised to celebrate the collaboration between creative director Frida Giannini and Canadian artist Kris Knight in the reinterpretation of the brand’s iconic flora print for its latest collection.

Starting the night at the brand’s flagship store at Landmark Atrium with a cocktail reception, VIP guests then moved on to a private dinner at the newly-renovated California Tower in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong. International celebrities in attendance included American actor, director and author James Franco, Swedish band Say Lou Lou, South Korean actress Lee Young-ae and Taiwanese actor Ethan Ruan. Joining them were Hong Kong’s Donnie Yen, Gigi Leung and fashion icons Hilary Tsui  and Wyman Wong.

A Flora Knight-inspired after-party kept guests dancing until the early hours. Gucci invited Ian Watt from the band I Am a Camera to perform a special DJ set. Socialites and party regulars Feiping Chang and Helen Ma were spotted among the crowd.

OVERHEARD This party is ultrachic. With all the international celebs, I feel like I’m in New York City.

Have you chosen a name for the baby you're expecting?

We are working on a Chinese surname for my husband first. I think it's important for my daughter to have a Chinese name as well.
