World's largest truffle to be cooked in Hong Kong

The largest white truffle in the world, weighing 1.89kg, was found in Italy and auctioned in New York recently. It was purchased by an anonymous buyer from Taiwan, who has entrusted chef Umberto Bombana - king of white truffles - to handle the coveted delicacy.

Bombana is owner and executive chef of three Michelin-starred 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana in Hong Kong. A private menu showcasing the US$61,250 white truffle will be prepared for the buyer at the restaurant.
