Author becomes new face of Celine

Celine's spring 2015 campaign has set the internet abuzz. The literary world and the fashion world were thrilled by the appearance of Joan Didion, a writer who has penned countless masterpieces. Making Didion the new face of Celine is fitting, as creative director Phoebe Philo sought inspiration for the collection from the 1970s, a time when Didion's work truly came into its own. Then there's the writer herself. Didion's understated poise - in her writing and her fashion choices - is the perfect reflection of Celine's style. Appearing alongside the writer are French ballet dancer Marie-Agnès Gillot and model Freya Lawrence.
