Glass slipper gets makeover

Cinderella's famous glass slippers are getting a makeover, thanks to some of the world's most famous shoe designers. To celebrate the launch of the Hollywood film Cinderella - out in the United States this month - nine of the fashion world's brightest shoe designers have re-imagined the fairy-tale princess' coveted shoe.

Showcasing their whimsical take on the fictional shoes are Nicholas Kirkwood, Jimmy Choo, Charlotte Olympia, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jerome Rousseau, Stuart Weitzman, Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman and René Caovilla. Each design can be ordered from selected stores across the globe, including Harrods, Saks Fifth Avenue, Galeries Lafayette and Isetan in Tokyo.
