Rick Owens opens flagship store in Central

Central's On Lan Street is quickly becoming one of fashionistas' top destinations in town. Following the successful opening of Japanese label Sacai, Rick Owens has landed a three-storey flagship store on 18 On Lan Street. The store, spanning across 3,800 sq ft, is Owens' largest store in Asia. It also showcases a brand new interior concept that focuses on sleek concrete panels and other industrial elements.

The controversial designer, whose recent men's collection became the talk-of-the-town for its revealing styles, adds a special piece of furniture in the store that's bound to raise a few eyebrows. The end table features a realistic, life-size sculpture of Owens kneeling down. The buzz of On Lan Street is likely to continue. Celebrated New York designer Thom Browne is opening his first menswear boutique this month too.
