HOW MUCH: FROM HK$1.2 MILLION

: Nowadays, wearable tech is all the rage, but what does it take to elevate a functional piece into something truly artistic? Enter the Armill Apollo Smart Bracelet.

Designed by British high-jewellery brand Christophe & Co in collaboration with Pininfarina - the Italian house behind the design of Ferrari cars - the bracelet takes its cue from the automotive world.

The aesthetic mimics a car's headboard. The bracelet features a carbon inner-fibre frame lined with high-end memory foam encased in Alcantara leather. It comes in 18ct gold and features hi-tech ceramics and 1,500 hand-set diamonds.

Christophe & Co has designed a limited five-piece edition with a dragon engraved on the bracelet especially for the Chinese market. But those who are looking for something more extraordinary can instead have their family seal engraved on the piece and choose between 18ct red, yellow and white gold, or platinum.

The wearable tech element is optional, and can be customised to suit individual needs, whether it's to open the door of your home or car, or more advanced functions. Better yet, the tech element can be replaced any time, allowing the bracelet to be constantly updated with the latest technology.

Much like an automatic watch, each bracelet contains a specialised battery pack made up of small rotors. The movement of the wearer's wrist will generate energy to power the bracelet, so there's no need to charge this highly functional object d'art.
