Many luxury brands have joined forces with A-list stars and top filmmakers to create short films to share their brand message

STYLE analysed the business decisions behind these short films earlier

Now, we’ve rounded up our top 5 short films of the season.

Prada’s “The Postman Dreams”

A series of five shorts by Autumn de Wilde, the Italian house focuses the microfilms on its Galleria bag. Each short takes our hero, the Postman, to a different world – all featuring the iconic handbag. From coy lovers flirting over the bag to a fantastical image of the bags hanging from a tree, each whimsical short is witty and worth watching.

Chanel’s “Reincarnation”

Karl Lagerfeld paired Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams together for the brand’s latest short film, “Reincarnation”.  The film depicts the birth of the iconic Chanel jacket, which rumour has it that Coco Chanel found the inspiration from a hotel elevator operator’s uniform while on holiday in Austria.

Bonus points for Pharrell’s song “CC the World” featuring Cara.

Dior’s “Terminal 3”

Shot by American photographer Philip-Lorca di Coricia for the luxury house, the microfilm is inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age albeit with a certain darkness beneath the glamour, the incessant march of high heels against the music being one very fine example.
