Christian Louboutin launches new nail polish collection inspired by the Egyptian scarab beetle

Shoe maestro Christian Louboutin's passion for exotic antiquaries is almost an open secret. Now he has honoured his love for mysterious ancient Egyptian culture with a limited selection of nail colours - Scarabee - arriving in stores this month. The collection is inspired by the scarab beetle, an Egyptian icon. The limited-edition set includes three colours, such as Scarabee II, a deep blue with flashes of purple, emerald and gold that also inspired a patent degrade leather for shoes and bags. The limited-edition nail polish also features a special bottle with a copper gold cap encased in brown cartons engraved with a copper gold scarab motif.
