Harry Winston necklace fetches HK$3.8 million at auction to help amfAR's cause for research into a cure for HIV/Aids

All eyes on the stellar turnout at amfAR's Cinema Against Aids Gala at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. A-listers in town for the Cannes Film Festival nearby wouldn't miss the highlight of the festival's social calendar. Karlie Kloss, Marion Cotillard and Adrien Brody were among those attending the soiree. Various art pieces and luxury objects were auctioned, with proceeds going to amfAR's cause for research into a cure for HIV/Aids. Among the lots was Harry Winston's one-of-a-kind Epic Cluster Diamond necklace sold for €450,000 (HK$3.83 million). The piece, made for amfAR, is inspired by the Taylor-Burton diamond owned by Elizabeth Taylor - amfAR's founding international chairman.
