If you have a craving for exotic boots, check out Christie’s Handbags & Accessories Auction which runs until July 23. Three pairs of Alexander McQueen armadillo boots will be available at the auction. Each pair is estimated to fetch around US$10,000. All proceeds will go towards Unicef’s relief work in earthquake-stricken Nepal.

The boots first appeared in McQueen’s spring/summer 2010 catwalk show but were never produced for the public.

This time, the fashion brand especially created three pairs – in ivory, brown and midnight green. The handmade python leather heels are made in Italy. The platform boots resemble the silhouette and scales of an armadillo.
