Hilary Tsui on Liger and women's fashion

Hilary Tsui is no stranger to the fashion world. The co-founder of Liger, who boasts a very fashionable Instagram account, is often found sporting a chic outfit at the city’s many fashion soirees.

What do you like from this season’s womenswear?

I am confident that this season is going to focus on vintage; a little bit like going back to the ’70s but in a modern and chic way. What we can’t miss are flared pants, huge hats and monograms.

What is your daily dress-up routine?

First, I don’t like putting on make-up, so I only use a red lipstick – my signature look. Second, I’ve been wearing flats lately. A few years back, when I had a lot of running around to do, I wore heels. But now, I prefer ballerinas or sandals [because] I look for comfort. I would wear something pretty on the top, but dress down below, so I don’t always dress up for a “total look”.

Tell me your definition of “luxury”.

Luxury can be jewels, expensive cars or gorgeous resorts. My most luxurious possession is a diamond necklace from my husband [Eason Chan], but I only wear it on special occasions.

What is your schedule like for Paris Fashion Week?

I have a Nike women’s 10K race during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday. It’s in the morning, and I will go to the fashion shows after the race.

STYLE caught up with the fashionista who reveals her picks of the season and tells us about her upcoming Paris Fashion Week agenda.
