A. Lange & Söhne opens eco-friendly manufactory building in Glashütte

German watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne has paved the way to an eco-friendly era for the industry. The brand has opened its new manufacturing building in Glashütte after three long years. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister of Saxony Stanislaw Tillich were invited to inaugurate the new building. The building design demonstrates how A. Lange & Söhne houses the old with the new. The 5,400-square-metre production area features modern settings such as large windows for ample lighting at the workstations and double-skin façade for climate control. The ultramodern workshops also mean that the craftsmen can enjoy virtually dust-free conditions.
