HAPPENINGS: A camouflage-themed pop-up exhibition might sound iffy, but Valentino proved us wrong with its latest exhibition in town. To celebrate the launch of the brand's new UOMO boutique at Elements mall, the maison presented a pop-up exhibition showcasing its Camouflage ready-to-wear and accessories collection in Hong Kong for the first time.

Fashion's elite plus celebrities and socialites flocked to the launch. We spotted Canto-pop star Hins Cheung, model Gaile Lok exploring the nine capsule cube design spaces, and fashionista Hilary Tsui and songwriter Wyman Wong posing for photos against the kaleidoscopic backdrop. Korean actor Lee Jong-suk also stopped by, and the crowd went wild.

OVERHEARD Camouflage has never looked so chic.

Do you have any style tips for the season?

I'm interested in pieces which look like artwork. Infusing art into fashion makes a piece last longer so it will never be outdated.

What is your off-duty look?

I used to buy a whole collection from one brand for a consistent style, but now I look at the craftsmanship of individual pieces.

What's your definition of luxury?

I think luxury is taste. I don't think it's associated with price. I've been wearing clothes made of linen while working out or meditating, and I think that's luxurious.

How is preparation for your concert next month going?

I am trying to gain some weight. I dropped quite a few pounds while shooting a movie on the mainland.
