Sotheby’s Hong Kong and IWC collaborate for sale of ‘Le Petit Prince’

Sotheby’s Hong Kong and Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen collaborated to present a unique customised IWC Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Edition ‘Le Petit Prince’. The timepiece is going to be auctioned during Sotheby’s Fine Timepieces Sale on Nov 29 at Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery.

Designed for flying, the timepiece combines sophisticated functions and a playful feature with a captivating display, all to recount the magical world of ‘The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint Exupéry.

The  beautiful midnight-blue and starry dial will stretch your imagination. Each day of the week, the display will light up a star in red to symbolise the different planets visited by the Little Prince. The portrait of the prince on the reverse side of the case will also allow the wearer to know which realm he is visiting at any moment.

This is the second round of collaboration between Sotheby’s and the famous watchmaker, after the sale of the “Revolution’ commemorative watch last month to benefit Smile Asia. This time, all the proceedings will benefit the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Foundation which has decided to support the Ebenezer School in Hong Kong.
